Today has been all about editing.
Book two in the Allie Fortune mystery series (Miss Match, March 2009) is written, has been rewritten and now has gone through one more layer of editing. I’m actually pretty thrilled with the way it’s turned out. If you know me at all, you’ll know that I am a perfectionist when it comes to writing, and as writing can never be perfect, I’m usually disappointed by the reality of what gets on the paper. But I have to say, in this particular case, I’m pretty happy.
Now that I have both Miss Fortune and Miss Match finished, I am starting to think about other projects. Nothing I can talk about yet, but it’s fun planning a whole new world filled with brand new characters.
I thought I’d post a picture of my vision for Allie’s office. At least a close approximation. You can’t see her leather couch/bed, but the desk itself is pretty close.
It seems rather amazing, but Miss Fortune officially releases in 15 days...
