THE NEED TO CREATE
I need to write. Vacations really aren’t very good for me. Over a week away from work and I get crabby, irritable and just plain not fun to be with. And over the years, I’ve discovered, through the process of elimination, what my problem is:
I need to create.
Before I started writing I was a knitter, I sewed, I constantly renovated, painted, you get the idea. Once I started writing, those things gradually faded away.
Writing filled that need I have to create something. And when I’m not creating, because I’m on vacation, because I’m stuck, or because I’m being lazy, I always start to feel dreadfully unhappy. So it’s really best for everyone if I just keep working.
I’m glad I’ve finally got that figured out, and believe me when I tell you that my family is too.
